Day three at cardigan was depressing, packing brought more depression and stuffing the car, terrible. We ate breakfast soon after, and then met Rachel outside, for our last hike at Cardigan. We started off on the trail the we were all wondering about. We stopped at the pond, to play a game where you had to find the person with the smell that you have. Then we headed off to our next location was the river where we did a stream study. We found many different types of larvae including a dragonfly larvae.( this is also where I dropped my pencil, and then my mom had to get it, thanks mom!) Then we went to a little clearing where we built houses from our surroundings. Russell and I built a Victorian house on top of our mountain, which was located in Alaska. Some physical features we saw at Cardigan include leaves (lots of them!), trees, rocks, the river and pond, and the bridges ( also a lot of those!). We also saw different types of moss and other small plants. Rachel had also told us about the trail blazes which were all over the place and seemed to be following us. Then she told us that trail blazes tell the hikers what trail they are on and if they are on a trail.(or maybe you are just walking around the forest with no clue where you are going).
